FAQ

What are Red Hill Medical office hours?

We are available for appointments and calls on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 – 3 PM and Thursdays from 12 – 7 PM. If these hours do not work with your schedule, we also offer some Monday and Saturday appointments by special request.

What is your cancellation and no-show policy ?

Appointments can be cancelled 2 business days in advance at no charge. Cancellations within the 2 day window and no-shows will be billed for the full amount. In the case of inclement weather or personal emergencies, fees may not apply.

Is Red Hill Medical covered by insurance?

Red Hill Medical provides a comprehensive level of care that is not adequately recognized by major medical insurance carriers and is out-of-network with all insurance carriers.

If you have out-of-network benefits, we will provide you with a paid invoice at the time of your visit to submit to your insurer. To find out more about your out-of-network benefits, please call your provider member number on the back of your insurance card.

Do you offer disability or workers compensation visits?

Unfortunately, Red Hill Medical does not currently provide services for disability or workers compensation cases.

Can Dr. Heinz be my primary care physician?

Unfortunately, no. Here’s why:

We do not fulfill an insurance company’s requirement for an in-network primary care physician, as we are not in-network with any insurance plan.

We are generally not available for same-day emergency appointments.

We do not have a 24-hour answering service and do not take calls on weekends. If you need to be seen urgently or have a medical emergency you would need to visit an ER or urgent-care center.

What do I need to know about lab testing?

Most lab tests ordered by Red Hill Medical will be billed directly through your insurance carrier. Reimbursement rates are dependent on your type of insurance policy’s lab coverage and out-of-network benefits. Call your provider member number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about your out-of-network benefits.

If you are uninsured or have no laboratory benefits, we work with a regional lab that offers generous discounts.

Some labs we offer as part of our Functional Medicine testing program may not be covered by insurance. In this case, you will be charged a fee by the lab. This will always be discussed prior to any testing being performed. You are under no obligation to purchase specialty testing.

How can I reach my doctor outside of office hours?

We encourage our patients to use the Patient Portal to contact us outside of office hours for non-urgent inquiries. For any medical emergencies, please contact your nearest ER or urgent-care facility. Kindly note that we do not respond to inquiries over the weekend.
